Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup tahini

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for serving

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt, to taste

Water, as needed

Paprika and fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Start by placing the drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and ground cumin into a food processor.

Blend the mixture together until it becomes smooth. You may need to scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure everything is well combined.

While blending, slowly add the olive oil until everything is creamy.

If the hummus appears too thick, add a little water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

Taste and season with salt as needed, blending a bit more to incorporate the salt.

Once the hummus is smooth and creamy, transfer it to a serving bowl.

Drizzle with additional olive oil, then sprinkle a pinch of paprika and chopped fresh parsley on top for garnish.

                Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 10 minutes | Servings: 4-6
