Ingredients

2 slices of sourdough bread

1 ripe avocado

100g smoked salmon

1 tablespoon cream cheese

1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon capers, rinsed and drained

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for drizzling

Microgreens or radish slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Begin by toasting the sourdough bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.

While the toast is still warm, slice the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the avocado, and mash it with a fork until creamy yet slightly chunky for texture.

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese evenly over each slice of toasted bread.

Generously top the cream cheese with the mashed avocado, ensuring it covers the toast well.

Layer the smoked salmon over the avocado in a beautiful presentation, folding the slices if desired for a more eye-catching look.

Sprinkle the chopped fresh dill and capers on top of the salmon for added flavor and garnish.

Finish off with a light drizzle of olive oil and a touch more salt and pepper to taste.

Optionally, garnish with microgreens or thinly sliced radishes for an extra pop of color.
